RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING IN-KIND SERVICES FROM THE PARKS, RECREATION, AND OPEN SPACES DEPARTMENT FOR THE DECEMBER 8-9, 2012 ''WOUNDED WARRIORS AMPUTEE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT FUNDRAISER'' SPONSORED BY THE HONOR NETWORK, A NON-FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5,806.74 TO BE FUNDED FROM THE BALANCE OF THE DISTRICT 12 FY 2012-13 IN-KIND RESERVE FUND

WHEREAS, the Honor Network has requested in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department for the December 8-9, 2012 ''Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Tournament Fundraiser'' in an amount not to exceed $5,806.74 (see attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application); and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the ''Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Tournament Fundraiser'' is to raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Tournament, and show support for our troops who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom; and
WHEREAS, the ''Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Tournament Fundraiser'' is a special event, as that term is defined in the attached Fee Waiver/In-kind Service Application, and $5,806.74 of the in-kind services shall be funded from the balance of the District 12 FY 2012-13 In-Kind Reserve Fund,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board authorizes in-kind services from the Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces Department for the December 8-9, 2012 ''Wounded Warriors Amputee Softball Tournament Fundraiser'' sponsored by the Honor Network in an amount not to exceed $5,806.74 to be funded from the balance of the District 12 FY 2012-13 In-Kind Reserve Fund.
