REPORT: First Assistant County Attorney Abigail Price-Williams read the foregoing proposed resolution into the record. Chairwoman Sosa opened the public hearing and called for any persons wishing to appear in connection with this item. There being no persons wishing to appear, Chairwoman Sosa closed the public hearing and the Board proceeded to vote on this item as presented.

TITLE
RESOLUTION CODESIGNATING SEGMENTS OF CERTAIN COUNTY STREETS AND AVENUES IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MARCH 24, 1922, PLAT OF ''LIBERTY CITY''

BODY
WHEREAS, on March 24, 1922, the plat of ''Liberty City'' was signed by the County Engineer and recorded under Plat Book 7, Page 79, in which the streets and avenues mentioned in the header of this Resolution were assigned names; and
WHEREAS, in 1957, the Dade County Board of County Commissioners approved a grid system assigning numerical designations to streets and avenues pursuant to Ordinance 57-19; and
WHEREAS, the following segments of streets and avenues are all County roads, with names assigned in the previously mentioned plat of ''Liberty City'':
* NW 70 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Adams Street''
* NW 69 Terrace from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Monroe Street''
* NW 69 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Jefferson Street''
* NW 68 Terrace from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Lincoln Street''
* NW 68 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Washington Street''; and

WHEREAS, constituents from the Liberty City area are requesting that the names assigned on the above mentioned plat of ''Liberty City'' are displayed beside the numerical assignation; and
WHEREAS, the proposed codesignations are located in County Commission District 3,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board:
Section 1. Having considered this matter at a public hearing, the Board codesignates the following County roads:
* NW 70 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Adams Street''
* NW 69 Terrace from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Monroe Street''
* NW 69 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Jefferson Street''
* NW 68 Terrace from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Lincoln Street''
* NW 68 Street from NW 17 Avenue to NW 19 Avenue as ''Washington Street''.

Section 2. Directs the Clerk of the Board to transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the United States Postal Service, the Traffic Signals and Signs Division of the Public Works and Waste Management Department, the Development Services Division of the Regulatory and Economic Resources Department, the Miami-Dade Police Department, and the Miami-Dade Fire Rescue Department.
