TITLE
RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE COUNTY MAYOR OR COUNTY MAYOR�S DESIGNEE TO PREPARE AND IMPLEMENT A PROGRAM FOR ELECTRONIC DISTRIBUTION OF ZONING HEARING AGENDAS AND RECOMMENDATION KITS

BODY
WHEREAS, electronic distribution of County documents provides for a greater level of transparency and access to government while being more efficient and conserving resources; and
WHEREAS, this Board�s legislative agenda items are currently distributed electronically and are provided electronically through an email subscription service; and
WHEREAS, zoning hearing agendas, which entail lengthy reports and recommendations, are currently distributed to this Board and to the Community Zoning Appeals Boards primarily through paper copies; and
WHEREAS, providing for these agendas to be distributed electronically through an email subscription service like the one provided for legislative agendas would provide greater access to government documents, improve transparency, and help the public access their government while potentially reducing unnecessary paper documents,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, FLORIDA, that this Board hereby directs the County Mayor or County Mayor�s designee to prepare and implement a program providing for the electronic distribution of all zoning hearing agendas, to include an email subscription service.
