The Miami-Dade County Office of Grants Coordination, announces the availability of "2008 Storms Disaster Recovery Funds" (2008 Supplemental CDBG Appropriations) which will become available through the Department of Community Affairs (DCA) as formula allocations to counties most impacted by Tropical Storm Fay, and Hurricanes Ike and Gustav. The State is currently awaiting for approval on its Action Plan for the use of the funds which is expected by the end of this month. Miami-Dade County is eligible to apply for $504,969 in funding resulting from damage sustained by Tropical Storm Fay. In preparation for the State's application process, we would like to advise your individual county department and any interested applicants on what is being proposed for the local application process. One application that will include all eligible projects/activities will be submitted to the State by November 16. Attached are the drafted guidelines for the local process and a local "Intent to Apply" form that needs to be faxed/emailed back to Miami-Dade County (Office of Grants Coordination) by October 28, 2010 to the attention of:
