The Grants Coordination Division is responsible for the administration and monitoring of Community-Based Organization (CBO) contracts including the Mom and Pop Business Grants Program; provides training and technical assistance to CBOs; and identifies grant funding opportunities to maximize revenue support to County departments and community organizations.

Additionally, the Division manages and administers grants under the federal Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Extension Act of 2009; administers the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistant Grant (JAG); identifies and promotes grant and revenue generating opportunities for County initiatives; and provides direct support to the CBO Advisory Board.

Request For Proposal No. 1115 Environmental Education Services Funding

Miami-Dade County's Office of Management and Budget – Grant Coordination is soliciting proposals for the provision of environmental education services for Miami-Dade County residents under Request For Proposal No. 1115 Environmental Education Services Community-based Organizing Funding. Eligibility to apply for this funding is limited to 501(c)3 not-for-profit organizations.

Interested parties may obtain a copy of the Request for Proposals [No. 1115] by registering as a potential proposer and downloading the files; calling 305-375-4742; or visiting the department office.

The deadline to submit a proposal is 4 p.m. Dec. 11.

A pre-proposal conference will be held Friday, Nov. 20 from 3 to 5 p.m. in the 19th floor conference room of the Stephen P. Clark Center.

Project PEACE Task Force

Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez has issued his appointments to the Project PEACE Advisory Task Force.  Members include: Miami-Dade Police Department, Florida International University, and 40 other community stakeholders. Project PEACE (People Engaged and Advocating for Community Empowerment) is a 3-year, $1 million grant initiative funded by the U.S. Department of Justice, FY 2014 Byrne Criminal Justice Innovation Program.
