Ryan White Part A Program Affordable Care Act Documents
Under the Affordable Care Act (ACA), beginning January 1, 2014, options for health care coverage for People Living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) expanded through new private health insurance coverage available through the ACA Health Insurance Marketplace.
The Miami-Dade County Ryan White Part A Program office, along with the Florida Department of Health, local health department and local contracted Ryan White Part A Program service providers, are coordinating efforts related to the transition of eligible Ryan White Part A and AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP) clients into an ACA Marketplace health insurance plan to help individuals comply with federal law.
The documents listed below have been prepared locally to assist and educate Miami-Dade County Ryan White Part A Program clients who are eligible to participate in an ACA Marketplace health insurance plan about program guidelines, requirements, and limitations. With guidance from their Ryan White Part A Medical Case Manager, clients who are eligible for the ACA will be responsible for completing the following forms, as applicable:
- ACA Assessment Tool
- Miami-Dade County Ryan White Part A Program ACA Client Acknowledgement Form
- ACA Exemption Checklist
- Miami-Dade County Ryan White Program Decline ACA Marketplace Enrollment Acknowledgement/Certification
