Green Business Certification Program Guidelines
Miami-Dade County Green Businesses must be in compliance with all applicable permits, licenses and environmental regulations as part of the process of meeting green business standards.
The standards below are reference guides for the Green Business Certification Application Checklists now available that will be used to certify businesses as green.
- Energy Conservation Guide
- Toxic and Pollution Prevention Guide
- Recycling and Waste Reduction Guide
- Water Conservation Guide
Miami-Dade’s Green Business program standards have been developed from the existing program of the City of San Francisco. That program was developed by staff with input from industry experts, utility companies, pollution prevention professionals, City inspectors and trade associations. Those standards have been further revised by Miami-Dade County staff to incorporate local ordinances and environmental services applicable and available here.
If you have questions about these standards, please refer to the FAQ section.
