Sixth Annual Climate Change Summit
The Sixth Annual Southeast Florida
Regional Climate Leadership Summit
Regions Connect → Global Effect
October 1-2, 2014
Miami Beach, Florida
Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami Beach are pleased to be hosting the 6th Annual Southeast Florida Regional Climate Leadership Summit on October 1-2. The annual Summit is coordinated by the Southeast Florida Regional Climate Change Compact, a partnership between Broward, Miami-Dade, Monroe and Palm Beach counties, their municipalities and other partners.
The Climate Leadership Summit is a major regional event focused on facilitating climate-related collaboration and knowledge sharing. The Summit attracts innovative thinkers and leaders from business, government, academia and the non-profit community to exchange ideas and dialogue at panel discussions and networking breaks.
This year’s theme, “Regions Connect → Global Effect” resonates soundly with the Compact, which has been advancing policy and catalyzing action locally and regionally, as well as connecting and collaborating with other communities throughout the nation and the world.
Participants attend the annual Summit to stay abreast of the current state of climate science, track policy developments, monitor key players at regional, national and international levels, and to network with private and public-sector sustainability professionals and stakeholders, corporate representatives and elected officials throughout the two-day event.
As in past years, notable private and public sector speakers from a variety of backgrounds will be present to share their unique regional, national and international perspectives on climate change issues.
