To be eligible for an Express Service you must have received a green reminder sticker from the shop at your last preventive maintenance appointment.
When and how can I schedule my Express Service?
You can schedule your Express Service 48-hours in advance. The Express Service can only be scheduled online. If you encounter difficulties in scheduling online please contact your transportation coordinator or your assigned shop.
Would I be able to schedule my Express Service at any shop location?
You will only be able to schedule service to the shop where your vehicle is assigned to. (Check your sticker for your location.)
What information do I need in order to schedule my Express service appointment?
You will need to enter your name, vehicle number, department, contact information and current mileage.
What if I need to cancel my appointment?
To cancel your Express Service simply call your assigned shop and inform them that you will not be able to make your appointment.
Can I bring in my vehicle to the shop for Express Service without making an online appointment?
You must have an appointment for an Express Service. However, all other types of PM inspections and repairs do not require an appointment.
How will I know when my vehicle is ready?
To inquire if your vehicle is ready to be picked up simply log on to this Fleet site and visit the “View Vehicle Status” screen. This screen will list the ready status for all light non-police vehicles dropped off for any type of repairs at any one of the following five shops: Shop 1 Main, Shop 2, South Dade Government Center, Shop 3C and the Downtown Motorpool.
Is there any other Express Service or repair service that can be scheduled?
At this time, we are only accepting online appointments for the Express Service.
What happens if I don't take my vehicle in for service at the required mileage intervals?
Being assigned a County vehicle is a privilege, and it is the responsibility of individual drivers to ensure that proper maintenance is done to the vehicle. A penalty will be assessed to the respective department when individuals are negligent with regards to County property. The fees for all types of overdue preventive maintenance (A, B, or C) are as follows:
What other charges can I expect my department to be charged for the Express Service?
The Express Service is provided at a fixed price. A Vehicle Storage Fee of $10/day will be charged if your County vehicle is not picked up ONE WEEK after its posted ready date. This fee applies to vehicles that are at the shop for any type of repair job or PM type.
