Can I Pay Via Payroll Deductions?
We encourage all Miami - Dade County employees to pay by payroll deduction. This way all parking fees are deducted pre taxWhat are Pre Tax Charges?
In 1997, the Taxpayer Relief Act was passed for parking benefits. On June 9, 1998, President Clinton signed the Transportation Equity Act for the 21st Century into law. This act made several changes to the Internal Revenue Code (IRC), including a provision in Section 9010 affecting transit benefits, which are considered qualified transportation fringe benefits. Employers can now provide these benefits in addition to current compensation paid to their workers or for the first time, in lieu of their existing compensation. Parking charges can now be deducted from the Gross Pay of all Miami – Dade County employees.Do I Have To Pay For Parking While On Vacation/Leave?
All parking patrons are expected to pay for the privilege of having a space available for them. Please remember even if you are going on vacation you are still responsible to pay for the parking during that period. The only exceptions are for extended leave of absences. These are patrons that will be out for more than 3 weeks. To postpone parking charges you must contact the parking office and make arrangements. If not your parking charges will continue to accrue.What happens in case of Bounced Checks:
If Internal Services Parking Department receives a check returned for insufficient/uncollected funds, the payer will be required to pay the following bad check fees:
- $25.00 for all checks of $50.00 or less.
- $30.00 for all checks over $50.00 to $300.00.
- $40 or 5% whichever is greater for all checks over $300.00.
Do You Have A Waiting List?
We will be maintaining a waiting list. We currently don't have space available at any Internal Services Parking facility. Anyone that is interested can - please contact Internal Services Parking Main Office at (305)375-4159 and our staff will be happy to assist.
You may complete a Key Card Activation Form Application online and submit the form to us. Periodically we will post on our website any facility openings that become available. All individuals will have the chance to complete a Key Card Activation Form Application with the request. Key Card Activation Form Applications will be accepted on the sequence in which they are received once an opening is posted. Example: Garage # 5 – has a monthly parking opening, and we receive between 5 – 10 Key Card Activation Form Applications. The person who submits their response first will be entitled for the parking space vacancy.

How can Miami - Dade County departments obtain validation coupons for their visitors?
Reduced validation coupons are available to all Miami-Dade County departments. The objective is to offer reduced parking rates for their visitors. These validation coupons will be valid at all Internal Services Parking facilities serving the Civic Center and Government Center areas. Miami-Dade County departments, please call the Parking Management office at (305) 375- 4159 for more information.
Procedures for purchasing validation coupons/stickers for Miami -Dade County departments are as follows:
Internal Services Parking will need via an original memorandum a request with the following information:

Department requesting the validations.

Number of validation coupon books to purchase.

Person in the department authorized to order the validation coupons.

Who in the department is authorized to pick up the validation coupons.|
Please remember the person picking up the validation coupons must be authorized in the memorandum.
5. The Miami–Dade County Index Code to charge.
We will keep the memorandums on file for verification of the order.
The book of validation coupon books bring 10 pages with 10 coupons per page = 100 validation coupons. The 100 validation coupons x $3.60 per sticker = a total cost of $360.00 per book validation book.
