Materials Management Division conducts auctions of retired County vehicles approximately every five weeks. The vehicles sold include sedans, pickup trucks, passenger and cargo cans, and occasionally police motorcycles. Auctions are held at Fleet Management Shop 2, which is located at 6100 S.W. 87th Avenue, Miami, Florida, next to the water treatment plant. Auctions are always held on Saturdays, with the period of inspection for auction vehicles beginning at 8:00 A.M. and the auction itself beginning at 10:00 A.M.
Pursuant to Chapter 274, Florida Statutes, vehicles listed on Miami-Dade County Notices of Public Auction are being sold at auction in an “as is, where is” condition with no guarantee, written, express or otherwise. Miami-Dade County makes no warranty, express or implied as to the description and fitness for any use or purpose of the sale property. No representation is made as to the equipment present on any vehicle. Inspection is allowed from 8:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. on the day of sale. Terms are CASH or Cashier’s Check (payable to “Board of County Commissioners”). Auction sales are subject to the complete terms and conditions as specified in each purchaser’s Bid Receipt and the “Rules of Miami-Dade Auction Sales.”
