Currently runs one of the most respected, responsive, and financially stable Housing Finance Authorities in the State. The Miami-Dade Housing Finance Authority, under Ms. Braynon’s guidance, created a Deep Subsidy Program. Under this program, sources of financing are pooled and interest rates are blended to reduce overall costs for borrowers. Moreover, as a result of the Authority’s innovative style, even developers have begun to place more emphasis on structural style and design. Thus, producing a better product while maintaining lower costs. She has over 20 years experience in private sector housing finance and mortgage lending. Ms Braynon was formerly with the Miami-Dade County’s Surtax Housing Assistance Loan Program. She has served as Executive Director of the Miami-Dade County Housing Finance Authority for over 10 years. Ms. Braynon is responsible for the overall administration of Authority bond issuance activities and management of a $1.5 billion loan portfolio. Ms. Braynon is experienced in staff supervision, budget preparation, fiscal management, implementing policy directives. Until the recent hire of its own Chief Executive, Ms. Braynon acted as CEO of the Foundation. She continues to serve in a consulting capacity to Ms. Jones and as a board member.
