The Home Buyers Club is an education and home ownership counseling entity. The Club provides mortgage pre-qualification, pre-purchase education, foreclosure-prevention counseling, and support services on an individual and confidential basis to Miami-Dade County residents with the goal of preparing families to acquire and maintain a home. The Club is a community outreach service of the Miami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation.

How to Join
Club Members must be residents of Miami-Dade County, or must desire to own a home in Miami-Dade County. There will be a $50.00 fee to register for the Homebuyer Education Workshop and counseling services provided. A portion of the fee is refundable once you have purchased your home. A $25.00 application fee and a nominal fee of $20.00 is charged to cover the cost of retrieving a club member's credit report during counseling.
To become a Club Member, you must send a money order with the correct fees payable to Miami-Dade Affordable Housing Foundation, Inc., along with a completed First-Time Home Buyer Pre-Qualification Application .
Explanation of fees:
- One individual homebuyer (borrower). Along with your completed and signed application, you must enclose a $45.00 money order. This amount includes a $25 application fee and $20 for an individual credit report.
- A married couple buying a home (borrower and co-borrower). Along with your completed and signed application, you must enclose a $45.00 money order. This amount includes a $25 application fee and $20.00 for a joint credit report.
- Two individuals buying a home (borrower and co-borrower). Along with your completed and signed application, you must enclose a $65.00 money order. This amount includes a $25 application fee and a $40 fee for two individual credit reports ($20 for each report).
- More than two individuals buying a home (borrower and co-borrowers). Along with your completed and signed application, you must enclose a money order that would cover the $25 application fee plus a $20 fee for each person’s credit report (examples: three individuals $85, four individuals $105, etc).
