Explore Miami on Columbus Day
We celebrate the anniversary of Christopher Columbus' arrival in the New World on Monday, Oct. 12. In observance of the holiday, County offices and library branches will be closed, while transit and waste management services will run as scheduled.
Also, public school will be in session on Columbus Day, so parents, this is your chance to enjoy a day at the park or beach, or go sightseeing around town. See which of these suggestions catches your eye.
