Fall season is a time for celebrating, and Miami-Dade County has plenty of ideas to help you and your family enjoy it. Find a variety of activities, events and safety tips in order to make this fall season one to remember.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer

The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Go pink for the cause and join the community to honor breast cancer survivors, raise awareness about what we can do to stay well from breast cancer, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society fight the disease with breast cancer research, information and services, and access to mammograms for women who need them.

 You can also help make a difference by donating.

Election Day

Exercise democracy and vote in the Nov. 4 General Election, where many important races, including the Florida Governor’s race, and ballot questions will be decided. Early Voting takes place Oct. 20 – Nov. 2 at 25 different locations. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is Oct. 29. View your sample ballot, find your voting precinct and know everything you need to Be Election Ready.

Fall back in time

Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 2. That means you'll have to remember to set your clock one hour back before you go to bed. The good news is you get a bonus hour of sleep. Sweet dreams.
