Presidents' Day

Miami-Dade County offices will close on Monday, Feb. 20 to observe Presidents' Day. Read about Miami-Dade County services available on the holiday, the history of the holiday and other interesting facts about our nation’s 45 presidents.

  • Art Wynwood Feb. 16-20
    Miami’s five-day International Contemporary Art Fair will consist of 70 international galleries. This art fair presents a dynamic amount of work from street artists and muralists, emerging young talent, and world-renowned contemporary and modern artists.
  • Miami International Boat Show Feb. 16-20
    More than 1,200 boats on land and in water will be exhibited at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin. Enjoy boating workshops, daily seminars, entertainment and dining.
  • Coconut Grove Arts Festival Feb. 18-20
    The Coconut Grove Art Festival is legendary: a weekend filled with live music, exquisite food, fun outdoor entertainment, and of course art.
  • Open Your Heart and Your Home Feb. 19
    Get love and give love at the Open Your Heart and Your Home pet adoption celebration. Pet adoption fees will be 50 percent off for pets over 4 months of age. 
  • Kite Day at Haulover Park Feb. 18-19
    The sky over Miami Beach will display a marvelous array of colors and figures from hundreds of kites in the air during the 25th annual Kite Day Festival.
