This year, Thanksgiving takes place on Thursday, Nov. 24. Before you celebrate Turkey Day with your loved ones, read up on activities and resources to ensure that your Thanksgiving is the best ever.

Activities

  • Zoo Miami One-Day Camp Nov. 23
    Kids ages 5-12 will get up close with Zoo Miami's animals while learning about conservation issues. Camp begins at 9 a.m., registration is required.
  • Baptist Health's Turkey Day Run Miami on Nov. 24
    Warm up your Thanksgiving appetite at Tropical Park by joining runners, joggers and walkers on the 5k or 10k run. Register before race day for a discount.
  • Winternational Thanksgiving Day Parade on Nov. 24
    Celebrate with the city of North Miami and listen to harmonious music from marching bands, watch dance groups, and enjoy the professional and community floats.
  • Holiday tree lighting at Bayfront Park on Nov. 25
    Get into the holiday season at the lighting of the 50-foot-tall Christmas tree, with seasonal music and food trucks to enjoy.
  • Main Street Festival of Lights on Nov. 26
    Join the family tradition in Miami Lakes and get to see the Christmas tree lighting ceremony taking place in Main Street.
