New Affordable Housing Under Construction
The following properties are a sample of some of the new affordable housing planned for our community. Check back for updates.
Marcia Gardens is a garden-style new construction multi-family rental development for the elderly, located 10301 SW 127 Avenue, Miami, Florida 33186, District 7. There will be a total of 134 units, with 70 units of Section 8 Project Based Vouchers.
The project is scheduled to be completed by the end of April 2018 and leasing will begin early in 2018.

Modello Homes will consist of 100 new family housing units located at 15302 SW 282 Street, Homestead, Florida, District 9.
This development will have two 3-4 story high residential buildings containing 40 two-bedroom units (4 public housing units and 36 project-based voucher units); 54 three-bedroom units (16 public housing units and 38 project-based voucher units); and 6 four-bedroom units (6 project-based voucher units). All units will have impact resistant windows and air conditioning.
Property amenities will include a commercial area, business center, property management office, community room, fitness room, central laundry facilities, common areas, playground, parking, and security cameras throughout the site.
This project is a public/private partnership between Gorman & Company, Inc. and Miami-Dade Public Housing and Community Development.
Construction of the project began on September 2016 and is scheduled for completion by April 2018.
Leasing information will be provided February 2018.
Senator Villas is an affordable housing development for the elderly located at 8915 SW 40th Street, located in District 10.
The two-story building will have a total of 23 units consisting of 5 studios, 16 one-bedroom units, and 2 two-bedroom units.
The building will have an elevator, balconies, exterior patios, lobby, and parking. Additionally, it will be served by a bus stop in order to provide easy access to public transportation.
This project is scheduled to begin construction in November 2017 and planned completion is for January 2019.
Please note that this is an affordable property and not public housing.
