Admission and Continued Occupancy Policy (ACOP)
The ACOP is a supporting document to Miami-Dade Public Housing Agency's PHA Plan. The purpose of the ACOP is to establish written policies in accordance with United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (USHUD) regulations and in regards to matters not covered under the USHUD regulations. It contains MDHA's internal policies for the Public Housing Division and Applicant Leasing Center.

Section 8 Administrative Plan proposed updates announced
Miami-Dade Public Housing Agency (MDPHA) hereby advertises the proposed updates for the Administrative Plan for Miami-Dade Public Housing Agency, Housing Choice Voucher and Moderate Rehabilitation Programs. Written comments can be submitted during a 30-day comment period from December 29, 2009 to January 27, 2010 to Director, MDPHA, 701 NW, 1 Ct., 16 Floor, Miami, FL 33136. A public hearing will be held on February 10, 2010 at MDPHA's Board Room, 1401 NW 7 St., Miami, FL 33125, 4 p.m.

The Miami-Dade Office of the Inspector General also investigates allegations of housing fraud and has established a satellite office located at 1401 NW 7th Street, Miami, Florida 33125. The Inspector General accepts calls from staff and the general public. Calls are confidential and all information received is handled by the Inspector General.

Section 8 Administrative Plan
The Section 8 Administrative Plan is a supporting document to Miami-Dade Public Housing Agency’s PHA Plan. The purpose of the Section 8 Administrative Plan is to establish written policies in accordance with USHUD regulations and in matters not covered under the regulations, but left to local discretion. It contains MDPHA’s internal policies for the Private Rental Housing Division, including Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher, Section 8 Project-based, Moderate Rehabilitation, Section 8 Homeownership, and other USHUD special allocation programs.
Section 8 Administrative Plan Revisions
MDPHA has revised its Section 8 Administrative Plan to include provisions under the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act (QHWRA), the One Strike policy, and to include MDPHA’s Effective Communication Policy and Reasonable Accommodation Policy and Procedures, which were revised to improve services to persons with disabilities.
