Moderate Rehabilitation Single Room Occupancy

This program provides project-based rental assistance in privately-owned rehabilitated buildings on behalf of very low and low-income single, homeless individuals. When rehabilitation is complete, the owner enters into a 10-year contract with Miami-Dade Housing Agency. Structures may be of any type – with or without kitchen and sanitary facilities in each unit, depending on the requirements of the local code. The maximum number of assisted units in any building is 100. If tenants are living in the building prior to rehabilitation, the owner is responsible for their relocation and all associated costs.
