Public Housing and Community Development Employee Classification Workshops

(MIAMI, November 26, 2014) - Miami-Dade County Public Housing and Community Development (PHCD) in conjunction with representatives from the federal agencies of Housing and Urban Development, the Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service are hosting a two-day workshop on December 2-3, 2014, to educate the development and construction community on the importance of properly classifying their employees. Topics that will be discussed include: how to properly classify employees under the Davis Bacon Act, proper IRS designations and how to properly complete certified payrolls.
