Help for healthcare prescriptions
The Florida Discount Drug Card Program is designed to lower the cost of prescriptions for Florida residents who have no drug insurance coverage. You may qualify if you are age 60 and older or if you are under age 60 with a total family income under 300 percent of the federal poverty level. Money-saving programs for our residents

• The Link-Up and Lifeline Florida Assistance Programs are designed to ensure that all residents of Florida have affordable access to telephone service and connections in their homes. Customers of participating telecommunications providers can now apply online using the Public Service Commission Secure On-line Application Form.

• Miami-Dade County Community Action Agency's Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is currently assisting income eligible residents with payment of their gas and/or electric bill.  Applications for LIHEAP will be available beginning Monday, February 9, 2009 at CAA Service Centers. Apply online or get more information on the LIHEAP program.
