Mayor's Message
I have proposed a no tax increase budget that maintains vital programs and services. Like everyone around the country, we have reduced our expenses and scaled back our spending. Over the last three years, we have closed budget gaps totaling $800 million. By the time the year has ended, we will have closed more than $1 billion in budget gaps.
Manager's Memoranda
Mayor Alvarez and I proposed a budget for the upcoming fiscal year, which begins October 1. We strove to protect programs and public services during a time they are so badly needed, while also not raising taxes at a time when families can so ill afford them.
