Employee Recognition Programs
Miami-Dade County's Employee Recognition Programs are designed to recognize employees who demonstrate exceptional service and achievements in their public duties.
The goal of the County's Employee Recognition Programs is to show appreciation for an employee's achievement and motivate employees to continue exceeding in their performance. The Employee Recognition Program is governed by Administrative Order 7-30. ![]()
Seaport’s Employee of the Year Award

Seaport Director Bill Johnson recognized Miladis Marichal and Jean Exil as co-winner for the Seaport's Employee of the Year Award on December 17th, 2010. Ms. Marichal was honored in the customer service category for her role with implementing the Port's new ground transportation system. She also received high praises for contributing to the Credit and Collections Section's high effectiveness by working successfully with companies that do business with the Port. Mr. Exil was honored in the logistical service category for his excellent response to housekeeping calls from the Cruise Lines. He was described as a reliable team player who regular exceeds expectations in the performance of his duties by nominators. Congratulations to Miladis and Jean! |

WASD honors innovative employees
Read about the employees most recently recognized by Water and Sewer Department Director John Renfrow. WASD has two very successful Departmental Employee Recognition Award programs. The department also has a strong involvement on the Idea Machine and the Idea Rewards Program.
MDFR employees recognized for innovative ideas
The Miami-Dade County Employee Relations Department recognized four Miami-Dade Fire Rescue employees for their innovative ideas. Each of the employees submitted suggestions on new ways to make positive impacts in MDFR and the community.
Performance Excellence & Director's Award Quarterly Winners
Every quarter, Environmental Resources Management recognizes top employees from every division with cash awards. Carlos Espinosa also announced Eva Lizardo from Pollution Regulation and Enforcement Division as the Director's Excellence winner.
