How long is a County internship?
Internships generally last one semester coinciding with the school schedule. Some high school internships are created for the school year. Miami-Dade County will accommodate student and school requests for longer or shorter periods.
Are interns paid?
Most internships are non-paid for academic credit. However, depending on the discipline of study, some paid internships for college students are available. These opportunities are advertised on the County’s eJobs website along with other employment opportunities. What are the requirements for a high school internship?
You must be a full time high school student in your junior or senior year. The school you attend must sponsor the internship.
What are the requirements for a college internship?
You must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program with an accredited college or university.
