"Super Saturday Clean Up"

We coordinated volunteer efforts across Miami-Dade County to pick up litter and trash, remove graffiti, and landscape neighborhoods along our key gateways in preparation for the Pro Bowl and Super Bowl in 2010.

Miami-Dade County receives grant funding from the NFL and the State of Florida's Division of Forestry for tree plantings at select parks, schools and public spaces.

The Community Image Advisory Board, its partners, and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden hosted the 3rd Tree Summit in Miami-Dade County on July 30th at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden.

The CIAB and Miami-Dade County Libraries collaborated to transform the landscaping at the West Flagler Community Library into a Florida Friendly demonstration native garden.  View the transformation.

Pow Wow

In preparation for POW WOW, the largest international travel industry conference in the world arrived to town in May of 2009, The Community Image Advisory Board teamed up with Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez's Volunteer Initiative, named "V", and with City Year, one of Miami-Dade's newest volunteer organizations, to transform the planter beds and other landscaped areas at two of our most popular Metro mover Stations, Omni and College/Bayside, with colorful "Florida Friendly" plants and shrubs.
