2008 Clean Up and Green Up Poster Contest
Each year the Community Image Advisory Board (CIAB) holds a Poster Contest for elementary, middle and high school students. The goal behind this contest is to engage students in taking pride in their community and have a chance to win a great prize. Entries are submitted and judged in the month of February and displayed at the Miami-Dade County Fair and Exposition. This year's winners are listed below.
1st Place winners receive a Nintendo Wii; 2nd Place winners receive an IPOD - Touch; 3rd Place winners receive tickets to Disney World or Islands of Adventure.

Elementary School Category
1st Place: Edy Rojas, South Hialeah Elementary School
2nd Place: Daniela Zapata, Miami Springs Elementary School
3rd Place: Alessi Armengol, Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic School
Middle School Category
1st Place: Ariel Canino, South Miami Middle Community School
2nd Place: Nathalie Cardona, Lamar Louise Middle School
3rd Place: Lissette Gonzalez, South Miami Middle Community School
High School Category
1st Place: Raul Quispe, Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School
2nd Place: Andrea Saavedra, Barbara Goleman Senior High School
3rd Place: Michael Marquez, Homestead Senior High School
The posters will be on display at the Miami-Dade County Youth Fair from March 27-April 13, 2008, then in the Miami-Dade County Hall Lobby, and will continue to be on display at various locations throughout the County to inspire those who observe them to employ anti-litter activities. This display will be part of the countywide campaign to stop litter in our community.
