Residents now have the option of dialing one 3-digit telephone number for information. It will eventually replace the more than 1,000 numbers currently published in the BellSouth Blue Pages.
Information about the services County government provides is now available through 3-1-1. Over the next three years, use of the 3-1-1 Customer Service Request System will be expanded to all County Departments. Service Requests will then be managed through one centralized system. The provision of services will still be the responsibility of each department and they will update the status of resolving each request.
The City of Miami has partnered with Miami-Dade County to pioneer the provision of multi-jurisdictional service. The County Manager's vision is for all Miami-Dade municipalities to partner with us to provide seamless countywide service for our residents, regardless of where they live.
Plans include expansion to 24-hour service.
