One number to call for non-emergency government questions
Need answers about your tax bill, a building permit or a stray dog?
Call 3-1-1 for:

Answers in English, Spanish and Creole

Personal service 7 days a week, Monday - Friday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and
on Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

24-hour information during emergency events such as hurricanes.
3-1-1 is not for 9-1-1 emergencies like a crime in progress, a burning building, or a medical emergency.
You may not be able to connect to 3-1-1 from pay phones or through certain business phone systems.
