Best of the Web Award
The Center for Digital Government ranked Miami-Dade County’s Web Portal No. 2 in Best of the Web Awards 2009. Miami-Dade County also received an Honorable Mention from the Center for e-Net, the County's employee portal, which workers use to enroll for benefits, view payroll information and update personal data.
Best Fit Integrator Award
Miami-Dade County is the winner of the prestigious Best Fit Integrator Exceptional Service Award in Portals, for working with partner Kobrix Software, Inc. to develop the the Portal/Knowledge Base Integration (PKBI). The Center for Digital Government created the award to recognize collaboration in solving digital problems.
2008
PTI Technology Solutions Awards The Government Information Center was the winner of the Web & E-Government Services Award for "eNet - Miami-Dade County Employee Web Portal." GIC also received an honorable mention for "ServiceDirect."
Motorola Visionary Award
This award is given to the most Visionary 311 call center in the United Sates as voted on by the CSR Motorola users (peer 311 agencies around the United States). Miami-Dade 311 was recognized for their innovative ideas and use of technology and for their support to assist other 311 center startups.
Sterling Quality Achievement Award This award was presented to the Government Information Center from the Florida Sterling Council for the Portal Knowledge Base Integration system that integrates 311 knowledge topics with County web portal content pages.
Promotional Video Campaign Award Miami-Dade TV received thrird place in the category of Promotional Video Campaign for the production of 2@ the Zoo at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) 23rd Annual Government Programming Awards.
2007
Best Government Access Station Website Miami-Dade County TV's On-Demand website, won first prize in the Government Access Station Web Site category at the National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (NATOA) 22nd Annual Government Programming Awards.
Innovations Award in Transforming Government Miami-Dade County’s Government Information Center (GIC) is among the world’s top 20 innovators according to a Harvard University institute that recognizes trendsetters in global government.
2007 Ambassador for Cities
Housing Central was selected for this prestigious award sponsored by the National Association of Realtors and the United States Conference of Mayors.
Outstanding Public Sector Organization of the Year Award The American Society for Public Administrators (ASPA), South Florida Chapter presented the award to both the County and the City of Miami in recognition of their efforts to work together to improve service to the public through Miami-Dade’s 3-1-1 Answer Center.

National Customer Support Excellence Award
Miami-Dade's 3-1-1 is the winner of the National Customer Support Excellence Award. After less than two years in operation, Miami-Dade County's 3-1-1 Answer Center took top honors in the Customer Focus category of the Government Customer Support Excellence Awards.

Best Municipal Advancement 311 was a winner in the "Best of Miami" awards given by Miami New Times.

Best Place to Work in IT Computer World magazine has rated Miami-Dade County among the best 100 places to work in the Information Technology (IT) field. The honor is part of the weekly publication’s 13th annual Best Places to Work in IT survey published in Computerworld.

Stockholm Challenge
This international competition selected the Under the Sea City ( kids.miamidade.gov ) as a finalist in their 2002 competition. The purpose of the Challenge is to highlight success, honor those who drive the innovation and progress fundamental to the Information Society, and to stimulate the exchange of ideas and best practices.
