County Holiday Service Schedule
 All essential services, including the Police and Fire Rescue Departments, Port of Miami and Miami International Airport, will be operating on regular schedule on Friday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 31.

For the 2010 holiday season, Miami-Dade County's Department of Solid Waste, Transit and 3-1-1 Answer Center will be running on the following holiday schedule:

Garbage and Recycling Pickup

  • There will be no garbage pickup on Friday, Dec. 24.
  • Recycling collection will take place for those customers who have a scheduled Friday, Dec. 24 pickup.
  • Solid Waste administrative offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 24.
  • All Solid Waste disposal facilities will open Friday, Dec. 24, but will be closed Saturday, Dec. 25. 

Transit

  • Miami-Dade Transit will be operating on a Saturday schedule on Christmas Day, Saturday, Dec. 25th and New Year's Day, Saturday, Jan. 1st.

Miami-Dade's 3-1-1 Answer Center

 
  • Miami-Dade's 311 Answer Center will be closed Friday, Dec. 24 and Saturday, Dec. 25 and Friday, Dec. 30 and Saturday, Dec. 31.
     
  • For up-to-date information on Miami-Dade County's services, please visit the County's website at www.miamidade.gov - available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, or call the 3-1-1 Answer Center for information about County services.
