Users can personalize their experience at miamidade.gov by setting their user preferences when they login. Several topics are available for e-mail subscriptions. This is an automated system that logs changes to the portal news for content that has been posted since the last mailing.

The portal's home page has a link that gives you the option to Personalize your view of our website. Click on the Sign up link to get started.

The first section asks for personal information, including confirming your password. You can select a User Type, by indicating "I am a...", "The following situations apply to me..." and "I am interested in these topics..."

A check box follows, so you can "opt in" to be informed about those topics when related events and program information is updated on the portal.

The next option allows you to subscribe to our weekly newsletter. Each Friday evening an e-mail is sent to subscribers with the news of the week that matches the departments you select. You can make mulitple selections by using the Control key and left mouse clicks.

Returning users can use the "Edit my profile" link to change their settings.
