Welcome to Community Information & Outreach!

Community Information & Outreach (CIAO) provides access to award-winning government service through our web portal – miamidade.gov – and the 3-1-1 Answer Center, the nation's first multi-jurisdictional call center for non-emergency government services.

With the successful integration of Miami-Dade Television, advertising, marketing, translation and photography services into Community Information & Outreach, the department has forged a single countywide strategy designed to improve the impact of messaging and simplify service - regardless of the manner in which residents choose to access their government.

311Direct enables users to request services and report neighborhood problems or code violations directly to Miami-Dade County’s 311 Answer Center, whose knowledgeable staff will begin processing the requested repair or improvement. The App can be downloaded for free on the Apple App Store.

311 Answer Center now operating under new schedule

The new hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The center will remain closed on Sundays and County holidays.

Miami-Dade County has 311 Service Centers

CIAO operates three 311 Service Centers to provide residents with a convenient way to access County services. A staff member will be on hand to assist residents with general information, referrals and the purchase of items such as baby stroller permits, dog tags, transit passes and more. There is also a touch screen kiosk for making payments to the County, schedule service or search public records and maps, as well as a phone that connects directly to the 311 Answer Center.
