ISD employee to be awarded "Miami-Dade Government Public Servant of the Year" by the National Minority Chamber of Commerce |

(MIAMI, December 5, 2014) – The Miami-Dade Internal Services Department (ISD) is proud to announce that Gary Hartfield, Director of the Small Business Development Division will be honored by the Minority Chamber of Commerce on December 18, 2014, as Miami-Dade Government Public Servant of the Year at the Chamber’s 14th Annual Gala and Awards Banquet to be held at the Double Tree Miami Airport located at 711 NW 72 Avenue, Miami, Florida. This award is presented to recognize individuals, whose selflessness, foresight and guidance have contributed immeasurably to the quality of life in our community, and economic development in Miami-Dade County, Florida “We are exceptionally proud of Gary and his many accomplishments in developing small and local businesses throughout Miami-Dade County,” said Lester Sola, Director of ISD. “This award is reflective of both, his daily efforts in Miami-Dade County government and involvement with the Miami-Dade County business community.” The Minority Chamber of Commerce is a National Organization Empowering Sustainable Minority Businesses and Professionals, Local & International. Doug Mayorga, President of the Minority Chamber said, “Gary’s achievements have demonstrated that good government positively affects the lives of many every day, and we are honored to present this award as a symbol of long overdue thanks and recognition for his efforts.”
