Pursuant to Miami-Dade County Administrative Order 3-39, all firms that provide architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, and/or land surveying and mapping professional services are required to obtain Pre-Qualification Certification prior to responding to any solicitations requiring any of the above noted professional services.
Pre-Qualification is valid for one year from technical certification approval. Any lapses in any of the three components required for prequalification will result in a suspension of the firm’s prequalification certification.
The Pre-Qualification Certification requires that firms obtain and maintain compliance/active status in three main areas:
The following guidelines are provided to assist applicants in properly completing and submitting their Pre-Qualification Certification application with Miami-County. It is recommended that application renewals be submitted 30 days prior to the expiration date.
The Pre-Qualification Certification Affidavit (doc) is required to be executed and submitted for Pre-Qualification Certification approval of new or renewal applicants. For renewal of Pre-qualification Certification, an accompanying transmittal letter on the firm’s letterhead is required to be submitted indicating the firm’s approved technical categories. The signed and notarized Pre-Qualification Certification Affidavit with the firm’s transmittal letter must be submitted to:

The Pre-Qualification Certification Schedule indicates the submittal deadline and review dates for the Pre-Qualification Certification. Firms are responsible to monitor their certification expiration date and to adhere to the Prequalification Certification submission deadlines.
The Pre-Qualification Report lists architecture, engineering, landscape architecture and/or surveying and mapping services firms that are pre-qualified with Miami-Dade County.
