Please note, that Miami-Dade County Surplus Property Sales does not provide the following:
- We do not sell seized or impounded vehicles.
- We do not sell property belonging to the City of Miami.
- We are not affiliated with the federal government’s Internal Services Department and we do not sell federal property.
- We do not sell property seized by federal law enforcement agencies such as the FBI, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF), or any other federal agency.
Auctions of retired County vehicles are conducted approximately every eight weeks. The vehicles sold include sedans, pickup trucks, passenger and cargo vans, and occasionally police motorcycles.
The Internal Services Department performs both sealed and informal bid sales.
A Sealed Bid is a formal sale for surplus property which requires a bid deposit and a performance bond. It is not an auction. The informal bid sale is conducted by the County Store to sell items from the store's inventory which are believed to have a value greater than $50.00 and less than $5,000.00.
The County Store is a retail outlet open to the public and operated by Internal Services' Surplus Property Sales Section. At the Store, you'll find a diverse inventory of items for sale, including office furniture, computers, printers, copiers, consumer electronics, books, hand and power tools, jewelry, collectibles, watches, bicycles, and many, many more items than could possibly be cataloged here.
The County Store, 980 West 84th Street. Hialeah, Florida, is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 am - 2:30 pm. The store is closed on legal holidays. For more information, call 305-556-8106.
The informal quote is used to sell items of minimal value (less than $5,000.00), such as junk cars, or items in large quantities for salvage value, such as old computers. The informal quote requires no bid deposit and no performance bond, and is advertised both by this website and by direct mail to prospective bidders who have expressed an interest in such items on previous sales. Typically, high bidders have two to three business days to pay for the items they have been awarded and five business days to remove them from County control.
