    Racial Profiling

    The Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution on October 10, 2000, prohibiting “racial profiling,” which the resolution defines as “the initiation of police traffic stops primarily based on race.’’  The resolution authorized the Independent Review Panel to create a mechanism for the receipt and review of complaints by citizens who believe their traffic stop was racially motivated.
