Ms. Norma Amaro, chair of the Sister Cities Arts Committee and the affiliation with San Jose, Costa Rica, has been appointed Vice Chair of the Sister Cities Coordinating Council by Mayor Carlos Alvarez.  Norma has been active in Sister Cities for more than eight years, and the popular Sister Cities Art Exhibit that she helps organize, now in its seventh year, each year draws hundreds of art enthusiasts to celebrate the rich diversity of Miami-Dade County’s art scene.  Norma will continue to play an important role in promoting Sister Cities programs and being an advocate for citizen diplomacy and cultural understanding.  Her two year term as Vice Chair of the Coordinating Council began on March 30.  Congratulations Norma!
