    Trade Missions Program

The principal activities of the agency revolve around the implementation of a program to promote Miami-Dade County as a trade destination center. To that end, the department has aggressively pursued a program which has emphasized trade development by implementing and supporting out-bound and in-bound missions which were either conducted by ITC, or trade missions organized by economic development organizations in Miami-Dade County.

    ITC Led Missions
Recruitment for missions include government and institutional organizations, and the private sector. Participants from the private sector are selected based on business category or sectors, and priority is given to first time participants. This process ensures that more and more Miami-Dade companies benefit from ITC organized missions.

    Inbound Sponsorships
ITC provides financial support for organizations leading officially recognized inbound trade missions to Miami-Dade County. Qualifying organizations eligible for sponsorship must be legally incorporated as a Not-For-Profit organization in the State of Florida, or be a representative of foreign governmental agencies.

Applicants should send their requests for sponsorships for networking lunches or receptions to the ITC Executive Director in writing. The letter should state the mission objectives, date, time and venue of the event, and amount requested from the ITC. Grantees are required to use the ITC logo in all publications related to the event, including the mission's program and Grantees must also agree to list ITC as a major sponsoring organization. The mission's primary objective must be to develop trade relationships that foster or facilitate international trade and/or promotes Miami-Dade County as a platform for International trade. For more information, please contact the ITC 305-375-5808.

The ITC Chair has appointed the following country ad hoc committees, each of which is chaired by an ITC Board member and member of ITC staff. During ITC’s Strategic Retreat on December 2, 2006, ITC Board members recommended the creation of four regional Ad-hoc Committees.
