Pre-employment Physical
Prospective employees are required to undergo a pre-employment physical which includes a drug and alcohol use and misuse screening. The examination will be performed at no cost to you by health care providers associated with the Mount Sinai Medical Center. Your appointment to see them will be scheduled by the hiring department.

Fingerprint-based Criminal Background Check
Miami-Dade County conducts pre-employment background checks that include fingerprint searches of criminal record databases maintained by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) and the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI). Your fingerprints will be taken in the Miami-Dade County New Hire Center and transmitted electronically to FDLE. Your appointment with the New Hire Center will be scheduled by the hiring department.
