For Parents with Small Children
MAM permits strollers in galleries. Maximum stroller width: 36 inches.
Bag Policy
For the safety of visitors, please note that MAM does not allow large bags
and packages in the galleries. Size restrictions for bags and packages are
posted in the lobby. You may check your bags at the front desk at no charge.

Getting here by Metrorail, Metrobus and Metromover: Exit
at Government Center. Walk south one-half block.

Getting here by car:
From North
Take I-95 southbound – Downtown. Exit at NW 8th
St. (Exit 3B / Port of Miami/Orange Bowl). Turn left onto NW 2nd
St. Turn right onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is two blocks south,
on the left with the parking garage on the right. (Cultural Center
Parking Garage / Metro Dade Center Garage / at 50 NW 2nd Ave.)
From South
Take I-95 northbound. Exit at NW 2nd St.- (Arenas / Exit
2B) and turn right. Turn right again at NW 2nd Ave. The museum is
two blocks south on the left with the parking garage on the right.

From East
Take I-395/MacArthur Causeway westbound. Exit onto Biscayne
Blvd. (Arenas / Exit 2). Turn left onto Biscayne Blvd. Proceed south
approximately ¼ mile. Turn right onto E. Flagler St. Turn
right onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is on the right and the parking
garage on the left. (Cultural Center Parking Garage / Metro Dade
Center Garage / at 50 NW 2nd Ave.)
From West
Go east on West Flagler St. Turn left onto NW 2nd Ave. The museum is on the
right and the parking garage on the left. (Cultural Center Parking Garage
/ Metro Dade Center Garage / at 50 NW 2nd Ave.)
From Metrorail and Metrobus: Exit at Government Center Station. Walk south
one-half block.
Parking
The
Cultural Center Garage has six floors of secure, enclosed parking
and is located at 50 NW 2nd Avenue adjacent to MAM. Visitors to MAM
receive a discounted parking rate of $5 with a museum validation.
To get to MAM from the garage, take the south elevator to the 2nd
floor on the northwest side and cross the elevated pedestrian bridge
connecting the garage to the Cultural Plaza.
MAM is accessible via the Cultural Center Parking Garage and Plaza
elevator.

There are two parking facilities available to visitors to the Cultural Center
and MAM who use wheelchairs.
The Miami-Dade Cultural Center Garage - 50 NW 2nd Avenue
(see directions and map above): Take the south elevator
to the second floor exit. Exit this floor and follow the pathway
across a covered, above street level footbridge that leads directly
to the Cultural Plaza and MAM.

Street-Level Parking Lot – NW 1st Avenue (between
NW 1st Street and Flagler Street): Accessible parking
available for visitors with a state permit. Lot entrance is located
on the East side of the Cultural Center off of NW 1st Avenue
between NW 1st Street and Flagler Street.
Entrance to the Cultural Plaza and MAM: From
the street parking lot, you will find a public elevator on the
opposite side of NW 1st Street, located mid-block on the North
side opposite the Cultural Center. This elevator leads to a footbridge
to the Cultural Center Plaza.
Access
to MAM’s Upper Level Galleries:
All visitors have access to the Upper Level Galleries via MAM’s elevator
located in the Plaza Level gallery. Visitor services staff or a gallery attendant
will direct you to the entrance and operate the elevator for you at your
request.
MAM has two wheelchairs available for use by all visitors upon
request at the lobby desk. Please see Visitors Services or a gallery
attendant.
