Purpose
Miami-Dade County is committed to the development of future leaders. This commitment has been expressed repeatedly by the County Manager and articulated in the County's Strategic Plan. The Management Trainee Program is a training program that provides a mechanism to help fulfill this commitment.
All participants have the opportunity to explore different government career fields, gain invaluable insight into Miami-Dade County Government, and acquire the experience necessary to attain future leadership positions.
Summary
The Management Trainee Program provides a one-year executive-level internship opportunity for selected candidates. Participants are rotated through various department assignments and perform project based activities so that they may explore different administrative career fields.
In addition, Management Trainees may be called upon to perform special tasks and projects outside of normal rotations at the discretion of the County Manager and program administrators.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
