Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Barcelona Mayor Xavier Trias to Sign Friendship City Agreement on April 2nd

(MIAMI, March 31, 2014) – Mayors Carlos A. Gimenez and Xavier Trias are signing a friendship and cooperation agreement between Miami-Dade County and the City of Barcelona, which will strengthen commercial, cultural, educational, and technological relations between the communities. Additionally, an agreement between the Marine Industry Association of South Florida (MIASF) and the Barcelona Cluster Nautic (BCN) will be signed with their respective Executive Directors and the Mayors as witnesses.  This agreement will promote and enhance all marine related businesses, events and boating lifestyle between the two communities. Miami-Dade County Commissioner Javier D. Souto and Municipal Corporation of Barcelona General Secretary Jordi Cases are also participating in Wednesday, April 2, 10:00 a.m., signing ceremony at the Stephen P. Clark Center.
