Miami-Dade County to host charter amendment town hall meetings tonight at 6:00 p.m. at Miami Beach Regional Library and Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment

(MIAMI, April 7, 2014) – Miami-Dade County is hosting a series of town hall meetings, where residents can provide input and ask County staff about the proposed amendment to the Home Rule Charter regarding the Property Appraiser, Legistar 140307, sponsored by Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. Tonight’s meetings are taking place at 6:00 p.m., at the Miami Beach Regional Library, 227 22^nd Street, Miami Beach, FL 33139; and Milander Center for Arts and Entertainment, 4800 Palm Avenue, Hialeah, 305-883-5800.

On July 7, 2011, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 11-44, which states “the County shall hold six public meetings regarding any resolution calling an election on a proposed Home Rule Charter amendment.”
