Miami-Dade County to host Charter Amendment Town Hall Meeting tonight at 6 p.m. at Miami Lakes Library

(MIAMI, June 25, 2014) – Miami-Dade County is hosting a series of town hall meetings, where residents can provide input and ask County staff about the proposed amendment to the Home Rule Charter to permit additional uses and facilities at Parks, Legistar 141370, sponsored by Commissioner Esteban Bovo, Jr. Tonight’s meeting is taking place at 6:00 p.m., at the Miami Lakes Library, 6699 Windmill Gate Road, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.

On July 7, 2011, the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners adopted Ordinance 11-44, which states “the County shall hold six public meetings regarding any resolution calling an election on a proposed Home Rule Charter amendment.”
