Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez to host press conference at PortMiami to announce stepped up enforcement and multi-agency Boating Under the Influence (BUI) task force


(MIAMI, August 26, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez will announce stepped up enforcement and a multi-agency Boating Under the Influence (BUI) law enforcement task force in efforts to raise awareness to the general public about water safety and the dangers of mixing boating and alcohol.

With the Labor Day weekend just a few days away, we mark the traditional end of the summer season which is typically a busy weekend on our waters.  

The press conference will take place at 11:00 a.m. at PortMiami, Terminal J (waterside), 1120 Caribbean Way.  Media is encouraged to arrive at 10:30 a.m. for set-up.
