Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez teams up with Winn-Dixie to distribute turkeys for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday

(MIAMI, November 24, 2013) – Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Winn-Dixie executives will be distributing turkeys to pre-registered, low-income families on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, at 11 a.m., at the Winn Dixie located at 948 SW 67 Avenue.  The distribution will also take place at two other Winn Dixie locations, 19167 S. Dixie Highway and 17221 N.W. 27 Avenue.

“While the holiday season offers us a time to celebrate with family and friends, it is also a time to share our many blessings with others in our community,” said Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez.  “I am proud to partner with our friends at Winn-Dixie to bring food and holiday cheer to so many families in need.”
