Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez to host a press conference to launch the Employ Miami-Dade Initiative


(MIAMI, December 12, 2014) – Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, along with Commissioner Audrey Edmonson, CareerSource South Florida, the Neighbors and Neighbors Association, and OneUnited Bank will launch the Employ Miami-Dade Initiative Adobe Reader during a news conference on Monday, December 15, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at the D.A. Dorsey Educational Center Auditorium, 7100 N.W. 17th Avenue, Miami, FL 33147. 

“Job creation and the development of our local talent are issues that are of the utmost importance to my administration,” said Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez. “Employ Miami-Dade will ensure that everyone in our community has the opportunity to benefit from our overall prosperity by seeking out County residents who need jobs and equipping them with the skills and training that the private sector is looking for.”

Employ Miami-Dade is an Initiative led by Mayor Gimenez to come up with innovative ways to bridge the divide between industry and job seekers. Mayor Gimenez has partnered with the business community along with CareerSource South Florida, the Neighbors and Neighbors Association, Associated Builders & Contractors Florida East Coast Chapter and the Circle of Brotherhood, to help put Miami-Dade County residents to work.
