AIM: Actively Investing in Miami-Dade
The Actively Investing in Miami-Dade (AIM) Initiative seeks to encourage our best and brightest to join a growing class of young professionals who are choosing to make Miami-Dade County their home, now and in the future.
Bike305 is a collaborative initiative of Miami-Dade mayors forged by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez that encourages residents to ride and walk the more than 27-mile stretch of paved trails along the eastern edge of the County.

In an effort to forge stronger connections between Miami-Dade County and the residents that it serves, Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez has launched Engage305, which is an initiative that strengthens opportunities for information sharing and partnerships.
Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez, CareerSource South Florida, Neighbors and Neighbors Association (NANA), and other local agencies have partnered to offer a Construction Certification Training to help put eligible Miami-Dade County residents living in zip codes 33142 and 33147 back to work.
Mayor's Initiative on Aging
Together with public and private partners, Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez is advocating for some of the most vulnerable members of our community and making a difference in their lives.
Through the Mayor’s Shining Scholars Awards, you have the opportunity to nominate high-school students from public, private, and charter schools throughout Miami-Dade County who have displayed extraordinary perseverance throughout their academic careers.
Youth and Community Safety
Miami-Dade County and CareerSource South Florid are combining their efforts and resources in order to enhance youth and community safety.
The County is also collaborating with Florida International University, University of Miami, community based organizations and Miami-Dade residents to develop comprehensive and effective solutions.
The Joint Roundtable on Youth Safety, hosted by Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez and Miami-Dade County Public Schools Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho, united local leaders, including Mayors and Police Chiefs of various municipalities within the Miami-Dade community, to work together on public safety initiatives in light of the recent senseless acts of violence that have affected our entire nation.
The Mayor's Youth Sports Championship Series aims to build and support a strong foundation of organized sports throughout Miami-Dade County, through a series of sport championships coordinated by the Miami-Dade Parks Department and the local governing body of the individual youth sport.
