I am forming a task force made up of criminal justice experts, mental-health advocates and others to study the best ways to implement some of the grand jury's recommendations.
 
Permitting
Recommendations for improving our system are expected in May 2005 and an implementation plan in the summer.
 
Environment
Once the South Miami-Dade Watershed Study is completed later this year, we will have final recommendations outlining the best way to balance growth with environmental concerns.
 
Transportation
The integrity of the People's Transportation Plan and what was promised to the voters must be protected.
