Miami-Dade is facing its highest level of unemployment in 15 years. We want to do everything possible to help unemployed workers. Along with my esteemed colleagues: Chairman Dennis C. Moss, Commissioner Katy Sorenson, Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart, Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Town of Cutler Bay Mayor Vrooman, we have organized a unique job search assistance fair - the South Miami-Dade Career Resources Expo this Friday.

One special feature of this event is the myriad of information on re-training/training opportunities, which is a good option for unemployed residents especially in high demand sectors such as the health care industry. The Career Expo will also feature hiring employers for positions in healthcare, social work, clerks, sales representatives and cashiers.
